BIRGITTE AND THE DUSTY TRAILS will be playing Trænafestivalen!
Trænafestivalen is truly one of a kind. Set far out in the ocean on the Helgeland coast in Northern Norway, the festival takes place across a small island community surrounded by dramatic nature, open sea, and endless summer light. Audiences travel by boat between stages, concerts are held in breathtaking locations – including mountains and caves – and the midnight sun creates an atmosphere that feels almost unreal.
It’s no surprise that Trænafestivalen has gained international recognition. The New York Times has recently named Træna as one of the places you must experience in 2026, highlighting the festival as a key part of what makes this destination so special. Being part of this feels both humbling and surreal.
We are incredibly thankful to be invited to a festival with such a strong identity, a curious and open-hearted audience, and a deep love for music. Playing at Træna has been a dream for us, and we can’t wait to share our songs in these extraordinary surroundings.
This year’s lineup is truly beautiful, featuring artists such as Ella Marie Hætte Isaksen, ULD, and many more – promising powerful moments, new discoveries, and a strong sense of musical community.

Trænafestivalen er noe helt for seg selv. Helt ytterst i havgapet på Helgelandskysten, omgitt av øyer, holmer og åpent hav, skapes det hvert år en festivalopplevelse som ikke ligner noe annet. Her fraktes publikum med båt mellom scener, konserter spilles i spektakulære omgivelser – som i fjell og grotter – og midnattssola setter rammen rundt noen helt magiske sommerdager.
Det er ikke uten grunn at Trænafestivalen har fått internasjonal oppmerksomhet. New York Times har nylig trukket fram Træna som et av stedene man må oppleve i 2026, og festivalen blir nevnt som en sentral del av det som gjør denne reisen helt unik. Å få være en del av dette føles rett og slett stort.
Vi er dypt takknemlige for å få spille på en festival med så sterk identitet, så nysgjerrig publikum og så mye kjærlighet til musikk. Dette er en scene vi har drømt om, og vi gleder oss enormt til å dele musikken vår i disse helt spesielle omgivelsene.
Årets program byr på en rekke fantastiske artister, blant annet Ella Marie Hætte Isaksen, ULD og mange flere – en lineup som lover både sterke øyeblikk, nye oppdagelser og musikalsk fellesskap.
